Holding Space
for the Creative Arts

Colorado Springs Youth Choir exists to create an authentic, safe space for high schoolers to experiment musically and find deep connections that will last a lifetime.

• We want to provide a space that doesn’t perform just for performance’s sake, but let’s the SINGERS have much of the say in the entire creative process.
• We want to expand upon traditional concerts to include a multi-sensory experience, integrating visual art installations and spoken word to enhance the music.
• We want to be inclusive of all, regardless of social background, ethnicity, disability, orientation, religion or any other way people separate themselves from one another. We will do all we can to provide a safe and encouraging space for everyone.
• We want an affordable cost that does not hinder anyone from being able to join. Profit is not the goal.
• We want low parent/guardian commitment, meaning low-to-no fundraising commitments, responsibilities and volunteer jobs. We will keep our costs low and our commitments minimal to allow more space for creative expansion.
